Project Overview

The Musselman Library ground floor is receiving a makeover during summer 2012. We are repurposing offices vacated by the college’s Instructional Technology & Training department and Digital Center into improved study and instructional spaces. Some of the changes include:

  • relocation and expansion of the library instruction classroom
  • relocation of staff offices
  • demolition of existing walls in order to provide expanded, flexible student study space
  • renovation of ground floor restrooms
  • relocation of many bound journal back issues to remote storage.

These and other changes are reflected in the updated Floor Plan.

This project is underway, and is expected to be completed in early August, 2012.

The purpose of this blog is to share information about the ground floor makeover and to provide updates as the project progresses. Check back regularly for glimpses into the exciting changes as they take shape. Also, see the FAQs for details about print journals, DVDs, reserves, and other materials and services impacted by the construction.
